Domestic Opportunity -- and Fear

The fear within and among American workers continues to escalate. With rising unemployment and the disintermediation of the historical middle class, American-based workers are seeking not only improved job security but local growth and corporate innovation.

The founders of CxO4USA believe that there are many CxO's (i.e., CEO, COO, CCO, CSO, CFO, et al) who recognize and have experience in global sourcing (i.e., outsourcing) who value domestic skills and expertise. CxO's with international sourcing experience, recognize that not all processes are best performed offshore - in fact that commonly advocated notion is nonsensical.

The Structure of Tomorrow

Tomorrow's success is about collaboratively assembling or orchestrating operational delivery systems from a virtual base of suppliers, providers and customers. The point-based sourcing organizations / outsourcers have reached diminishing returns. Lastly, to set the proper stage for moving forward and contrary to popular opinion and political sentiments, we are entering not the second iteration of globalization - we are already experiencing the fourth.

Let us be very provocative, traditional sourcing practices and their operating arrangements are difficult to manage, govern and modify especially with the socioeconomic shifts still playing out on the domestic and world stages.

In fact, the results for many layered contractual arrangements result in failure or early separation approximately two-thirds of the time. We've all had experiences with information technology or business process third-party sourcing arrangements (i.e., outsourcing) that performed poorly or are consistently acrimonious.

CxO4USA was created for the discussion of new KPO demands and the agnostic shorelines and virtual / variable sourcing arrangements that will be demanded by consumers, new markets, and financial conditions.
